Well,after another power failure which left computers malfunctioning here I am again. We went to the school a new flatter quieter more beautiful route,a faster route as well Most of my students can really add now. Tomorrow we play counting Bingo and the day after I teach subtraction

About Me
- Howard Shapiro Judy Labow
- The Namuwongo Literacy Project has, as its ultimate goal, the establishment of a ‘free-of-charge’, government recognized, full-time, co-educational, day school. The immediate goal is the increase in the number of pupils, school hours and Ugandan teachers. The Directors of the Namuwongo Literacy Project are Judy Labow and Howard Shapiro. During the summer of 2006, Ms. Labow led a team of educators volunteering in Namuwongo. This work led to the creation of the Namuwongo Literacy Project. In the summer of 2007, Howard Shapiro set in motion the ‘foundation’ necessary for the now sustainable Namuwongo Literacy Project.

Hi Judy!
I am happily following your activities from here. You'll be encouraged to know that it will hit 40 degrees here today (with the humidex)so it is a bit easier to imagine what you and Bob are experiencing in the heat department. Big hug, take care, Gaby
Hi Judy, sounds like you got right back into things, these kids are so lucky to have you guys there! FYI he moving trucks are moving our stuff tomorrow- it's really going to happen!
